Six Months Since Madeleine McCann Disappeared

Madeleine McCann disappeared six months ago from her parent's villa in Portugal. I am posting this in the remote hope that some day someone will find her. I say remote, because very few kids get found or turn up when they've been missing this long. I have kept a blog vigil since this story broke earlier in the year and have posted her photo periodically.

I say to all, please still keep an eye out for Madeleine. And beyond her - keep an eye out for any child who might be in need of a saviour. That child with a black eye who explains it away....a child who needs more attention than his family can give at the time...step in and help. And always report any situation or child you feel in endangered in any way. We must remain a village, world-wide in keeping children safe.

Madeleine McCann's Parents' Story

I enjoyed reading this positive article about Madeleine McCann's parents at CNN. There's been so much negative press in the past few weeks, I feel bad for them. I still have a feeling that they are not involved in their daughter's abduction or absence in any way. Maybe I just think that it would be impossible for parents to behave in the forthright way that they have done if they were in the wrong. That's my opinion for now. I think that the focus still should be "where is Madeleine".

Judge Reviewing Madeliene McCann Investigation

The McCanns are denying any involvement in Madeleine's death. This week the Portuguese police gave a file to a judge outlining their investigation....we'll wait to see what happens now, it's all really gotten quiet since last weeks interrogations.

Are Madeleine's Parents Really Guilty? Questions that Bug Me

Are Madeleine McCann's parents really guilty of her murder/accidental death? Or are they victims of a flawed Portuguese justice system? All of the recent news of the past 24 hours just makes one's head spin. Would her parents really be in front of the Pope while hiding the fact they had killed their own child? And why did it take so long to talk to them as suspects? And why was the rental car they rented 25 days after Maddy's disappearance so suspect? Will the Portuguese Police confirm any of this that has come out from the family's spokeswoman? And what about all you readers of this blog who keep coming here searching for items about Madeleine's parents giving her sleeping pills? I get many hits here per day, yet the first I've even heard this heresay was yesterday on our news.

Update - Now that her parents have left Portugal for England, what does this mean? Are they going to stay away from Portugal now, or just securing the twins before they press on?

There are too many questions here and too few answers for everyone. I remain devoted to the hope that this will come a better end that it looks now.

Madeleine McCann's Mother Named Suspect

This is a dissappointing turn of events for everyone. If the police really suspect Madeleine's mother is a suspect, why did it take so long? We'll have to see what the outcome is here.

Madeleine McCann's Mother Interviewed

I just saw this update today that Madeleine McCann's mother was interviewed again by the police. There are rumblings, again, that the police in Portugal may have uncovered new information. I will keep listening and post an update when I get one.

Madeleine McCann's Parents Forge On Without Her

Yesterday would have been Madeleine's first day of school. Today was the Princess's first full day of Kindergarten. I made a vow, sometime ago, to keep Madeleine's story promoted in the news and yet another day passes with her missing. Another day that her parents and siblings don't have her there with them. If you live in Europe, I'm sure you are keeping that extra eye out for little girls who just might be her. But if you live anywhere else, it doesn't hurt to help keep the publicity going or to keep that eye out for Madeleine or for other children who might need your help.

Madeline McCann - Why We All Should Help

As readers know, I post updates here about 4 year old missing child, Madeline McCann. I try to help publicize her plight as a missing child. I am hoping to post good news one day.

As a parent of two small children, Madeline's kidnapping horrifies me. It is the worst possible thing I can imagine ever happening to our family. That being said, it has never happened to anyone I know. But the attacks on innocent children seem to be increasing. Or our abilities to know about them are increasing as well. Probably both. The Internet is a wonderful communications tool for helping other people. That is why I choose to do this.

I ask each one of you to put yourselves in the McCanns' shoes and think what would you want others to do if someone took your precious child. Then, I would like for you to write your own article helping to publicize finding her before it is too late. Help use the Internet for good, not for so many of the bad reasons out there today.

Keep Finding Missing Madeleine in the News

Help find Missing Madeleine! This is an update to a story I do hope everyone is following. It continues to be so heartbreaking that this small child is without her family after being kidnapped in Europe. Please pass her photo along, blog a few lines about it and try to keep her from becoming just one of the many missing kids who aren't ever found. One such case is still here in Florida, Tiffany Sessions. Her mother is still advocating for her and hoping for news so many years later.

I hope you and your family do have a cheerier Memorial Day and keep your own kids safe! Don't forget the missing ones!

Harry Potter to the Rescue of Missing Madeleine

It is wonderful that author J. K. Rowling, of Harry Potter fame, is donating what may be millions in reward money to help find little Madeleine McCann. Help us get her photo and this message out around the world.

Help Find Missing Madeleine in Europe

This just breaks my heart as a parent and as a human being. Please help find the missing girl Madeleine who was kidnapped by a probable pedophile ring from her parents' vacation villa in Portugal over a week ago.

Also please have that long overdue discussion with your children about stranger danger and how to handle an abduction or abduction attempt.
We used to live less than 20 miles from the poor Jessica Lunsford, who was tragically killed by a pedophile. We all hate to think about these things, especially on Mother's Day weekend, but we have to do it. Our children depend on us keeping them safe and teaching them how to be safe. Do it today!
The parents of the boy who saved this little girl from a pedophile recently at Disney World in Florida must have taught him the right thing to do.
One way to help internationally is to support the Ricky Martin Foundation. His organization helps to prevent and help victims of sexual trafficking worldwide. Consider a donation on behalf of the children and women forced to endur such horrors. Make a difference today.
